Candidate search

10s tracing + scoring time.

Advanced settings auto-tuned

Quick uses the time budget below, then scores every completed trace. Exhaustive uses the candidate count and raster budget; uncheck Auto to set them by hand.

Candidates
Raster budget
Exhaustive max candidates raster-scored and ranked. Quick ignores this budget and scores every completed trace from its chosen time window.
Potrace uses the already-prepped trace raster with fixed blacklevel 0.5; threshold is not randomized.
Both run on your computer. WASM is faster; the original JavaScript produces slightly different paths. Both use the full search and scoring pipeline. Visible post-engine stage: ranking compares the rounded inline SVG, not the raw engine float output. SVGO runs after sanitize/rounding. The raw sanitized engine SVG remains in debug exports; SVGs are scored after this optimizer stage. A/B mode: engine choice and quarter-turn perturbations affect only engine input. Preview, scoring, and exports stay in canonical source coordinates.
SVGO settings rerun required

These are the actual browser SVGO plugins passed to the final optimizer. Changing any of them invalidates the current candidate ledger because the optimized SVG is what gets raster-scored and ranked.

Precision is linked to the ranking precision stage: rounded-1dp → floatPrecision 1.

Ranking weights pre-tuned

Pre-tuned defaults. Penalties — 0 ignores a metric; higher weights push candidates with that trait down the ranking. IT scores ImageTracer candidates; PT scores Potrace candidates. The score multiplier calibrates an engine after metric weights, so you can keep ImageTracer defaults fixed while tuning Potrace competitiveness.

Hairpin detector rerankable

Geometry detector behind the hairpin count rank metric. Smaller radii catch tiny curls; larger radii catch broad rounded hairpins. Changing these settings recomputes the metric for the current candidate ledger when possible.

Comma or space separated. Smaller values catch tiny hairpins; each value is one source-pixel scan size. Potrace-hairpin default: 1, 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6.

Hairpin detector: radii 1/1.5/2.5/4/6px · turn ≥60° · chord ratio ≤0.85.
